you think Daddy decides to install the TT-700 in the Brown
Bomber?

Davidson in a drawer?

3.  Why do you think Mrs. Watson is so careful with her planning
of the trip, such as where the family is going to stay?

4.  How does Byron describe white people in the mountains?

5 comments:

  1. ma1 1. Dad installs the TT-700 because to avoid getting a divorce Dad buys the TT-700 so they can get hooked on hillbilly music and bring their sounds with them.

    2. In my opinion Joetta put the angle in her sock drawer because Joetta didn't really like the angle because it's dimples where white but she didn't act rude about it in front of Mrs. Davidson so she didn't make her feel bad.

    3. In my opinion Mom is planning out so carefully about we're they're staying because she said that Mr. Johnson said there some safe clean rest stops along the way. So Mom wants her family to be safe.

    4. Byron describes the white people in the mountains that they'd hang you and eat you later.

    5. In my opinion Kenny is scared when they drive through the mountains because when Kenny looks out the window he says that in the dark the mountains look like someone crumpled up a pitch black blanket.

  2. 1. 1. I think the other reason Mr. Watson installs the TT-700 is because they are going on a long trip to Alabama and after a while they would want to choose what they listened to like they did at home, so Mr. Watson got the Ultra-Glide.
    2. 2. I think Joetta wants to keep the angel in her drawer because Mrs. Davidson said it reminded her of Joetta and she didn’t think it looked like her so Joetta was insulted.
    3. 3. I think Mrs. Watson planned the trip carefully because she did not want it to take too long or get there to early. She did not want to surprise her mom by getting there at the wrong time.
    4. 4. Byron describes the people in the mountains as hillbillies that have never seen black people before and would eat you if you got caught by them. He also said they don’t speak English.
    5. 5. I think Kenny gets scared as they drive through the mountain because when they get to the Tennessee rest stop there are so many mountains surrounding them.

    3. I think that MRS. Watson is so careful about planning the trip becuase they aren't that wealthy and she wants to be careful about spending to much.
    4. Byron says that white people in the mountains ate people.
    5. Kenny is scared when they they drive on the mountains becuase Byron told him that people in the mountains eat other people.

    Chapter 9
    1. I think Daddy decided to install the TT-700 in the brown bomber since they will be traveling for a long time in the car, from Flint, MI to Birmingham AL. It will pass the time to hear country music. Also, since Mama is from the South, I think she wants to hear the music she probably grew up with.
    2. I think Joetta wants to keep the angel from Mrs. Davidson in a drawer because she doesn’t want Mrs. Davidson to know the angel was named after her.
    3. I think Mrs. Watson is so careful with her planning of the trip, such as where the family is going to stay because she knows there is a lot of active situations happening in the south such as, the church bombing and the KKK. I also feel this way because Mrs. Watson knows there is segregated hotels and the kids don’t know that. That is why they stayed at the worst motels in the past.

    Chapter 10

    4. Byron describes white people in the mountains as a big foot monster who were trying to kill the blacks.

    5. I think Kenny feels scared when they’re driving through the mountain because he and the family are going straight up hill and you can’t see anything. One wrong move and you can go backwards.
