4 comments:

  1. 1. Chapter 11 is called” Bobo Brazil meets the Sheik” because they are both wrestlers and are mean, while Byron, cruel, meets Grandma Sands, supposedly mean, and they are supposed to compare with Bobo Brazil and the Sheik.
    1. 2. Chapter 12 is called” That Dog Won’t Hunt No More” because the Toddy is too old to hunt, and “just can’t pull the trigger”.
    2. 3. The title of chapter 12 is also referring to Mr. Robert, because he is getting old to and he and Toddy are just too old to hunt coons.
    3. 4. The Wool Pooh resembles death because Kenny is about to die and that is how he sees death as. He sees death this way because Byron told him and Joey about the Wool Pooh.
    4. 5. The Wool Pooh shows up at the church because he (still) resembles death and many people either died or were close to it and people were extremely injured.
    5. 6. Byron changes from being a selfish bully in the beginning to someone who cares. For example, at the end when Kenny is at the world-famous Watson pet hospital Byron sleeps with him on the couch, and then tells him that that isn’t doing him any good and tries to get him back to normal.
    6. 7. Kenny was crying in the bathroom because he was ashamed that he didn’t do anything about the church bombing.
    8. Kenny’s conclusions about magic powers and the Wool Pooh are that they aren’t real.

  2. 1. This chapter is called Bobo brazil meets the sheik because Kenny thought that Byron and grandma sands were the two most evil people and when they were meeting each other Kenny thought they would start fighting to the death.
    2. This chapter was called that dog won’t hunt no more because Mr. Robert was talking about his really old dog who was a hunting dog but got too old for the job. The chapter was referring to Mr. Roberts too.
    3. The dark figure Kenny was calling the wool pooh was symbolizing death.
    4. Byron changes from the beginning of the book to the end of the book because in the beginning, Byron was beating up Kenny, but now he is helping him out, even saving his life!
    5. Kenny was really crying because he thought the wool pooh was after him in the church.
    6. Kenny’s conclusion about magic powers and the wool pooh was that those things were fake, after all.

    1. the chapter is called BoBo Brazil meets the shiek becuase of those guys are really tuff and he is saying that his grandma and brother are both really tough.
1.the chapter is called that dog wont fight no more becuase his grandpa has a really old dog that used to hunt but it is too old to hunt now
    2. i think that it is saying that his brother is behaving better becuase he wants to be sent back to Flint.
    1. i think that the wool pooh symbolizes death and fear. i say this becuase when ever something bad happens he sees the dark figure (Wool Pooh)
    1. i think that the Wool Pooh symbolizes fear because in the church Kenny was afraid that Joey was dead.
    1. in the beggining of the book Byron is a really bad kid but when his parents bring him to Birningham he decided to try to be good so he would be aloud to go back to Flint. this happens when Kenny wants to go to Colliers landing but Byron pretended to go the other way.
    2. i thimk Kenny was crying in the bathroom becuase he was so afraid that Joey was dead when the church was bombed that he became dramatized.
    3. in the end even though Byron told him he made all that stuff up he thought that it was all real becuase of all the dramatic things that had happened.

    Chapter 11:
    1. I think this chapter is called “Bobo Brazil Meets the Sheik” because Bobo is Kenny and since he never met grandma sands the author is trying to say that grandma sands is the leader of the family. It also gives the impression that Kenny is mature.
    Chapter 12:
    1. This chapter is called “That Dog Won’t Hunt No More” because the dog is very old and he lost his sense of smell. He will not be able to hunt if he cannot smell.
    2. Besides the actually dog, what else is the title of the chapter referring to? Explain. The message the author is trying to state is that eventually in life you may have to stop what you are doing even if you don’t want to. That’s what happens when you get old.
    Chapter 13:
    1. The wool pooh symbolizes death to Kenny. It’s a whirlpool that Kenny almost died in.
    Chapter 14:
    1. The Wool Pooh showed up in the church since Kenny remembers Joetta telling him what to do when he almost drowned in the wool pooh and when the 3 girls died in the bombing in church.
    Chapter 15:
    1. Byron changes from the beginning to the end in the beginning of the book it says he is a juvenile delinquent that doesn’t want to touched, hugged or kissed. He becomes more responsible. Byron starts to change at the end when Kenny almost drowned in the wool pooh and he saved his life.
    2. I think Kenny was really crying in the bathroom because he witnessed the whole bombing of the church and saw people that died.
3.Kenny's conclusions were that on the wool pooh Byron saved him. About the magic powers he learned that the powers didn't exist.
